Customers
Did you know that cryptovision has more than 20 eID card customers worldwide? Among others, the governments of Armenia, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, Mexico, and Nigeria make use of cryptovision's eID solutions. The Nigeria eID project is especially interesting because Nigeria with 160 million inhabitants is by far the largest country in Africa. The Nigerian eID project therefore requires one of the largest card and public key infrastructures ever built. cryptovision expects many more eID projects in the near future. Says cryptovision CEO Markus Hoffmeister: "Electronic identity cards are a rapidly growing technology. Especially newly industrialised countries are very interested in eID systems. We are well positioned in this emerging market and looking forward to new challenges to come."
Products
cryptovision's high-end PKI solution, CAmelot is now version 3.0. It comes with a bunch of new features. It now supports additional databses (MySQL, MSSQL, H2), which makes CAmelot integration into IDM and other data vaults even easier. In addition, the Web-based user interface, the monitoring functions, and the certificate templates have been improved. Additional HSMs are supported (Bull, NCipher, Safenet).
Events
CARTES Secure Connexions

cryptovision took part in this year's issue of the world's most important smart card and microchip exhibition, the CARTES Secure Connexions 2015 (Paris, November 17-19). Only four days after the Paris terror attacks the organiser took additional security measures in order to protect 450 exhibitors, 20,000 visitors and 1600 conference attendees. In spite of the sad events beforehand the CARTES Secure Connexions 2015 became a success.

cryptovision presented its security solutions at it-sa 2015, which took place in Nuremberg, October 6-8. it-sa has grown to become the most important IT security event in the German-speaking market with over 350 exhibitors and around 7,000 visitors. cryptovision was sharing booth with partner Peak Solutions.
LANworks Forum IT

Partners
The market for Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) is booming with PKI being among the most important demanders. In addition to several other HSM solutions cryptovision's CAmelot now also supports the HSM products of Thales. Thales HSM's and CAmelot have one important thing in common: They are very successfull on the government market. cryptovision is looking forward to a fruitful partnership with a leading HSM supplier.
General
The FIDO (Fast IDentity Online Alliance), an industry consortium aiming to revolutionise online security with open authentication standards, is rapidly gaining importance. cryptovision is proud to be a member of this organisation. FIDO recently anounced that meanwhile tens of millions of FIDO-based devices are in use for end-user and enterprise account protection. Among the major relying parties are Google, PayPal, NTT DOCOMO, Bank of America, Dropbox, and GitHub. With 72 FIDO Certified products and almost 250 Alliance member organizations, the market is clearly saying now is the time to deploy FIDO authentication to replace outdated password systems.
Codecracker Challenge
Can you crack the following ciphertext? Every reader, who sends the correct solution to codebreaker@cryptovision.com, takes part in a lottery drawing. The winner receives a copy of Klaus Schmeh's new book "Codeknacker gegen Codemacher", which covers the history of encryption technology. Entry deadline is 2016-02-15. Here's the ciphertext:

Vyfo kvv, dbecd k pog, ny gbyxq dy xyxo. Gsvvskw Crkuoczokbo.

The codebreaker challenge can be solved by hand, but you can also use the free software CrypTool (available on the internet). CrypTool was sponsored by cryptovision.

The solution of the last Codecracker Challenge (newsletter 7/2015) was the following text:
